Southern and hot sunny areas have the option of a blend of 50% bent grass with 50% alpine fescue to withstand drought. Soil requirements need not be optimum for a soft cool lawn that you'll love to walk on bare foot. NoMowGrass does well in shady areas but not dense shade.
